Global Education Network

2011 Opportunities

The Global Education Network offers its students the opportunity to study internationally. Sudents can gain a unique advantage - preparing themselves for work in a global environment.

Semester Exchanges

A semester abroad exchange is available for up to six months duration. Students would be enrolled in formal classes at a host college, and sometimes (pending visa arrangements) may choose to work abroad to supplement your savings. You may receive credit for academic courses you complete on exchange, live the lifestyle of students in the host country, and make new friends and have the opportunity of forming lasting relationships.

Short Exchanges

A short exchange is generally 2–3 weeks duration. Linking Students

A key focus for network partners is to provide opportunities for as many students as possible based on merit, not economic background.

The Network and its corporate partners will provide a host of exchange and work opportunities to students. These international exchanges will expose students to the global market and give them an appreciation for its complexity while inspiring them with its potential.

The Global Education Network will provide students with innovative international learning enabling them to gain experience and ultimately employment on any continent.

Students will benefit from exchange programs enhanced by the global connectedness of online learning. Students will be in constant touch with each other and with faculty throughout the world—learning and benefiting from expertise on every continent.

Linking Staff/Faculty

The Global Education Network will be built upon the strengths of its member colleges and technical institutes, carefully selected to be part of this premier intercontinental academic service. Member schools will be selected for the strength of their faculty—faculty who understand and deliver applied, hands-on learning applicable to the international market. The Global Education Network program quality will aspire to satisfy the career aspirations of students while providing highly skilled graduates for employers.

The advantages of linking students via on-line learning and international exchanges will be extended to Staff/faculty. Staff/faculty will interact constantly with peers in different nations and cultures incorporating the knowledge gained and the benefits of their worldwide experience into their courses.

Linking Partners and Industry

Member schools will specialise in working with employers to determine specific skill requirements in the sector. They will also design and deliver the appropriate training to graduate superbly trained individuals who bring competence and productivity to the workplace. The schools will build upon their strength in working with the industry sectors so that the benefits of the Network will accrue not just to students, but also to those who will employ them upon graduation.

Nascent trends in sector growth will be identified as they happen and will be swiftly incorporated into courses thereby avoiding the lag that often occurs between business development and corresponding curriculum change.
